How renting works

Ready to ride in 4 simple steps

  1. Step 1: Choose your bike and leave your details

    Pick a model and your rental dates, then leave your name and phone number.

  2. Step 2: We confirm with you

    Our staff call you or message you on Zalo to confirm the bike, give you a quote and arrange pickup.

  3. Step 3: Prepare your documents

    Vietnamese guests bring their level-2 electronic ID card (CCCD) and a motorbike licence. Foreign guests bring their passport and an International Driving Permit (IDP).

  4. Step 4: Collect your bike and go

    Pay the rental fee together with a 1,000,000 VND deposit per bike when you collect it, then start your trip.

What documents do I need?
Vietnamese guests only need their level-2 electronic ID card and a motorbike licence; Motorent photographs them and does not keep your documents. Foreign guests, please bring an International Driving Permit (IDP) and your original passport; Motorent keeps the passport during the rental.
How do the deposit and payment work?
When you collect the bike, you pay the rental fee together with a 1,000,000 VND deposit per bike. The website only collects your contact details and does not take payment.
How is the rental price calculated?
Prices are per day (24 hours) and the longer you rent, the better the rate. For example, the Vision is 160,000 VND/day for 1–2 days and 90,000 VND/day for a month. The full price list for every model is on the Prices page; for helmets, fuel and similar extras, please ask before you collect the bike.
Can I ride out of town?
Depending on the area, you need to tell Motorent before you rent so the trip can be confirmed; a surcharge applies for each province. The current rates apply within the former urban area of Ho Chi Minh City (before the merger).
What if the bike has a problem?
Call 038 787 7450 (also on Zalo) right away and we will guide you. Please contact Motorent before fixing anything or agreeing on compensation yourself.
